Re-evaluation

Re-evaluation in JDoodle’s Assessment allows students to request a review of their grading if they believe there is a mistake. This process ensures that the teacher can address and correct any potential errors in grading.

How does re-evaluation work?

Here are the steps outlined for the re-evaluation process:

Student Request

After submitting the Assessment and getting the score, the student can apply for re-evaluation if they feel there is a possible mistake in marking the questions. The students can also request the teacher to open the Assessment for re-evaluation by directly contacting their teacher.

Teacher Notification

If a student has requested re-evaluation, the progress will change to re-evaluation requested.

However, the teacher won’t get any notification and will need to go in and check, and the student should inform them that they have requested reevaluation.

Re-evaluation process

If the teacher feels that re-evaluation is needed, they can select ‘open for re-evaluation. ’ After the Assessment is open for re-evaluation, the teachers will get four options:

Start evaluation

When this option is selected, the teacher reviews the student’s answers, marks, and feedback. They can see all the details, including the student’s marks, comments, and answers. If needed, the teacher can adjust the grades and comments. Once changes are made, the updated grades and feedback can be saved, ensuring the student receives the corrected evaluation.

Mark as evaluated

After evaluating the assessment, you can mark it as evaluated. When you select this option, you can view the Assessment and disclose the results. You cannot evaluate the answers manually or auto-evaluate unless you re-open them for re-evaluation.

Auto-evaluate again

If the assessment was initially auto-graded, you can select this option to automate the grading process again. This is useful if the grading criteria were changed or the assessment was updated.

Reopen for Re-submission

Selecting this option allows students to redo and resubmit their answers. This allows students to improve their responses based on feedback or corrections made during the review process.
