Troubleshooting common issues
If you encounter a bug in the UI, sometimes this indicates you need to clear your cache. When you browse websites, your browser saves information in its local cache to save bandwidth. But if the cache stores old or corrupted data, it can cause UI glitches or error messages in JDoodle. Here’s how to fix this.
Clear browser cache
Often, issues are caused by outdated or corrupted cache files. Follow the steps below to clear your cache in common browsers:
Browser | Steps |
---|---|
Google Chrome | 1. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner. 2. Go to More Tools > Clear browsing data. 3. Choose All Time and check Cached images and files. 4. Click Clear data. |
Mozilla Firefox | 1. Click the three-line menu in the upper-right corner. 2. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security. 3. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data. 4. Check Cached Web Content and click Clear. |
Microsoft Edge | 1. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner. 2. Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services. 3. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear. 4. Select Cached images and files and click Clear now. |
Safari | 1. In the Safari menu, click Settings. 2. Choose the Advanced tab. 3. Enable the Show Develop menu in the menu bar. 4. Go to Develop in the menu bar and click Empty Caches. |
Why clear your browser cache?
Clearing your browser cache removes outdated or corrupted files that can cause UI glitches or errors. It ensures you’re loading the most current data, which helps JDoodle run smoothly.
