Automated grading
Automated grading on JDoodle allows assessments to be graded and marked automatically based on predefined criteria. It allows teachers to streamline the evaluation process and focus more on instruction than administrative tasks. Note: Open-ended questions will not be auto-graded and require manual evaluation by the teacher.
How to enable automated grading in Assessment?
To enable automated grading, you’ll need to:
- Select ‘auto-correct’ while setting up the Assessment
- Select ‘auto-mark/score’ if you wish to give marks to the Assessment during setup.
When you set the above options while creating an Assessment, you’ll get the option to assign marks (if you’ve selected to give marks for the assessment) for correct answers and predefine these answers to the questions. Assigning marks and correct answers is compulsory for automated grading to work. You can set the test cases for programming tasks to facilitate automated grading.
How to disclose results with automated grading?
With automated grading, you can disclose the results to your students as soon as they submit the Assessment. You can set the option while creating the Assessment under result disclosure. If you choose the comment option during the setup, you can also opt for manual feedback and give personalized feedback.
