Signing in

You can run code on JDoodle without an account. You need one to save projects, set assessments, make embeds, or use the API.

The ways in

Pick one and keep to it. If you first signed up with Google, sign in with Google after that.

Creating an account

Give your email address and a password, twice. Passwords must be at least five characters. You also agree to the Terms and Conditions here.

We then send a six digit code to that address. Type it in and the account is ready.

The code has a short life, and there is a daily cap on how many you can ask for, so avoid pressing Resend repeatedly. The button waits a moment before it becomes active again. If you do reach the cap, the screen says so. Wait and try tomorrow, or contact us if you need it sooner.

If you closed the window before typing the code, you do not have to sign up again. On the sign in dialog, choose Verify registration code and enter the address you used.

Forgotten password

Choose Forgot password? on the sign in dialog. We send a six digit code to your address. Enter the code and set a new password.

This only works for accounts made with an email address and password. If you signed up with Google, Microsoft or GitHub, there is no JDoodle password to reset. Sign in with that provider instead.

Changing your email address

This runs from Profile, not from the sign in dialog, and takes three steps:

1. Enter the new address. We send a code to it.
2. Enter that code, and the code we send to your current address.
3. Once both check out, the address is changed.

You need to be able to read mail at both addresses. If you cannot reach your current one, the dialog has a No access to your current address? link that takes you to Contact us.

Sessions

You stay signed in between visits. When a session does run out, a dialog says so and asks you to sign in again. Anything unsaved in the IDE stays on screen while you do.
