Account
Delete your account
Deleting is permanent. Your projects, subscriptions and settings go with the account. To use JDoodle again afterwards you have to create a new account.
Start from Profile, on the Basic details tab, under Delete account.
The four steps
- Before you go. Anything that has to be sorted out first is listed here. Deal with those and come back.
- Why are you leaving. Pick at least one reason. You cannot skip this.
- Anything else. A comment box. This one is optional.
- Confirm it is you. We send a six digit code to your email address. Enter it and the account is deleted.
You can leave at any point before the code goes in.
If a team is involved
If you own a team, deleting takes the whole account with it, not just you. Everybody's work on it goes. If the team should carry on without you, transfer it instead. That hands the account, its people and its plan to somebody else, and is done from Profile. See Teams.
If you are on somebody else's team, deleting removes you and your work. The account itself is not affected, and the owner keeps everything else.
The 30 day window
After deletion, your data and your team's data stay in backup for 30 days.
This is a backup, not a way back. There is no self service undelete. If you delete by mistake, use Contact us quickly, because after 30 days nothing can be recovered.
What next
- Plans and billing, if cancelling is what you actually want.
- Teams, if somebody else should take the account over.
