Tag your projects

A tag is a label you put on your own projects. Once a project has one, you can show only the projects carrying it, which is how you find one thing in a list of hundreds.

Tags are part of the paid plans.

Make a tag

Two ways, and both are in My projects.

1. On any project row, choose + Tag, type a name, and choose Add. The tag is made and put on that project at once.
2. Choose Manage tags, type a name, and choose Add. This makes a tag with nothing on it yet, ready to use.

A name can be up to 40 characters. You can have 50 tags, and put 10 on any one project.

Put a tag on a project

On the project row, choose + Tag and pick one of your tags. The tag appears under the project name.

To take it off, choose the small ✕ on the tag. That removes it from this project only. The tag itself stays, and so does every other project carrying it.

Find projects by tag

The TAGS row above your project list shows all your tags. Choose one and the list shows only the projects carrying it. Choose it again to stop filtering.

When you pick two or more, a Matching choice appears:

• any shows a project carrying at least one of the tags you picked
• all shows only projects carrying every one of them

Clear removes the filter and shows everything again.

Rename or delete a tag

Choose Manage tags.

• Rename changes the name everywhere at once. Every project keeps the tag.
• Delete removes the tag from every project that had it. You are asked to confirm first, because there is no undo. Your projects are not deleted, only the label.

Tag a whole class at once

This is what tags are really for. When you share a project with a student group and turn on Give each person their own copy, you end up on a copy for every student. A class of ninety leaves ninety projects in your list.

In that same dialog, Tag the copies lets you put them all under one tag. Pick one of your tags or type a new name. Afterwards, choosing that tag in the TAGS row shows the whole class in one place.

The copies your students own are not tagged. Tags are yours alone, so a student sees their copy with no label on it until they add one themselves.

If your plan changes

Nothing is deleted. If a paid plan lapses, your tags stay exactly as they were and the filtering is simply not available. Subscribing again brings them back with every project still tagged.
