Join your teacher's account

Everyone starts on their own account. To be part of a class, your account has to join your teacher's. That is what brings you the work they set and the assessments they give you.

You ask, and they approve. There is no code to type in and no invitation you have to wait for, though a teacher can invite you instead.

Send the request

1. Open your profile and find Team account.
2. Choose Join an account.
3. Give the email address your teacher signs in with, and choose Send request.

The owner is sent the request, and your account joins their team once they approve it. Use the address they tell you to use. A request sent to the wrong address just sits there.

While you wait

Your profile shows Pending approval, along with who you are waiting on and when you asked. Nothing has changed yet: your projects are still yours and nothing new has appeared.

If you asked the wrong person, Cancel request takes it back so you can ask somebody else.

What changes once you are on

Your projects stay yours. What is added is everything that comes with being on somebody's account: the projects they share with you, the assessments they set, and the results when those are released.

Some things may also be decided for you. If your teacher has turned the AI assistant off for students, you will not be able to use it while you are on their account.

Once you are on the account, the work your teacher sets starts arriving: projects to work in, and assessments to sit.
